Information You Provide
Search-box entries, such as a name, telephone number, or address, are sent to the provider that operates the result service. Delaware Residents Directory does not keep its own copy of those searches. A message sent to us contains the information included in the message and is used to respond.
Routine Technical Data
Hosting systems can collect ordinary server-log details, including IP address, browser type, requested pages, and time information. We use aggregated technical information to maintain the service and understand general use. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics or advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
Limited operational data is used to run, secure, maintain, and improve the service. We do not sell visitor lists or build personal profiles from individual readers.
External Services
Links lead to Delaware County, Ohio, library, archive, and third-party services. Those services govern information submitted on their forms, including sponsored search forms. Their availability, prices, and privacy practices are their own.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers may process the limited technical information described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires it and do not otherwise release it for unrelated purposes.
Security Practices
The service uses an encrypted connection and retains logs only for the operational purposes described here. There are no Delaware Residents Directory accounts, passwords, or reader profiles stored by the service.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has submitted information.
Access and Deletion Requests
Where applicable, a visitor may ask about personal data this service holds by using the Contact page. Because the service keeps little direct data, the request normally concerns a message or a log. Ohio’s Data Protection Act, R.C. chapter 1354, is a cybersecurity safe-harbor law and does not create a general consumer deletion right. Government records held by Delaware County or Ohio custodians are outside our control and must be addressed to the record keeper.
Policy Changes
A revised policy will be posted here. Continued use after publication of a revision indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
